What to do if the leather gets wet or dirty: our suggestions

Python skin

• Avoid spilling drinks or liquids on the leather as  python skin, being a natural leather, absorbs everything;
  
  
• Avoid using your python handbag on a rainy day, to preserve the leather from water damage.
  
  
• Don’t use any cleaning agents or products on the leather because they could damage it.
  
• Be careful to avoid any damage to your bag, because, once it is broken, the leather can’t be repaired!

• If the leather gets wet, it is sufficient to allow it to dry naturally. Don't use any kind of household appliance (such as a hairdryer) and never put your handbag directly over a source of heat.

• If the handbag gets wet, the leather can become a little darker but it will still keep its original design. Put your handbag in a dry place, away from any direct heat source and let it dry naturally.

• If the handbag is dirty, clean it gently using a soft, damp cloth.

• Avoid spilling drinks or liquids on the handbag, because there’s a risk of damaging the leather;
  
  
• Don’t leave the item exposed to the sun for a long time, because the glossy finish of the handbag can be seriously damaged and you could end up with an opaque handbag which has lost its appeal, the fine sheen of its leather dulled;
  
  
• Keep the handbag away from radiators or other sources of heat;
  
  
• Don’t use any cleaning agents or products on the leather they could damage it;
  
  
• Avoid over-stretching your handbag in any way, thus distorting its shape;

• Because real crocodile skin is a natural leather, it’s dangerous to leave a crocodile handbag exposed to direct sun for a long time, as the leather will dry out and the bag will be damaged, losing its natural sheen;
  
  
• Keep the handbag away from radiators or other sources of heat to prevent the drying out of its leather;
  
  
• A real crocodile bag should never to be exposed to the rain which can ruin the leather and cause it to bubble;
  
  
• Don’t use any kind of chemical product to clean the handbag, as even the best leather products darken the leather;
  
  
• Try to protect your real crocodile handbag from any falls, as the leather can be broken or scratched and once it is damaged, it can’t be repaired;
  
  
• Avoid spilling drinks or liquids on the handbag, because there’s the risk that the leather will soak up these liquids and that it can be irreparably damaged.

• If a real crocodile handbag gets wet, it is possible to clean it using a soft cloth. It is important then to allow it to dry naturally away from direct sources of heat.

• It is possible to clean the handbag using a damp cloth.
  In the event that it becomes absolutely essential to use a product to clean the item, please use only products with a minimum quantity of lanolin or choose a specialist product for the cleaning of exotic skins, which is available on the market.

Real ostrich skin

• Don’t expose your real ostrich leather to freezing temperatures, to direct contact with snow or rain, because, being a natural leather, it can be damaged;
  
  
• Avoid spilling drinks or liquids on the handbag, because there’s the risk that the leather can soak up these liquids.

• If the handbag gets wet, you can dry it using a soft cloth.
  The handbag shouldn’t be damaged too easily but, it’s still better if you get it dry as soon as possible.

• You can use a damp cloth to clean the handbag, then allow it to dry naturally.

Leather tanned to vegetable

This leather is very resistant to tears and shows the natural grain and irregularities which give it its authentic and original look.

Main qualities:
Hard-wearing;
Very easy to clean.

• Keep these items in a dry place, preferably not exposed to light and protected from dust;
  
  
• Don’t wash these items using water or detergents;
  
  
• Don’t leave these items in contact with water for a long time.

• If the item has been in storage for a long time we suggest that you  buff the leather with a wool cloth to restore its natural beauty.

• Light scratches and scrapes can be eliminated by polishing the bag with a neutral wax or a wax of the same colour as the leather.
